MINNESOTA UNITED F.C.

Minnesota United FC is a professional soccer club competing in Major League Soccer (MLS), the top level of soccer in the United States. Based in the Minneapolis–Saint Paul area, the club operates in a fast-paced, high-performance professional sports environment.

The problem: In Minnesota United's second season in the MLS they were looking to increase awareness and promote connection within the Minneapolis-St. Paul community as well as establish themself as a serious contender within the league.

The Work: Hired as a Production Intern, I helped generate transparent and engaging in-game broadcast media and social content, as well as ideating ways to connect the new team with the vibrant local community.

The solution: I utilized an integrated storytelling approach that humanized the brand across digital platforms and promoted engagement with the community, sparking interest and spreading awareness.

Honey Taljieh Visit

Organizing and promoting a visit from FIFA's Community Manager, Honey Taljieh, was a major boost both internally and externally for the club. Honey is an inspirational figure being the cofounder of the first Palestinian Women's National Team in history and her visit provided an established credibility to the newly founded club.

Minnesota Tifo Craftsmanship

A mini documentary about the 65 Minnesota United FC supporters' efforts to craft and unveil the largest, in-stadium tifo banner to date, creating an awe inspiring game day spectacle fans should remember and players will be proud of.

Coffee with Kyndra

Working with the team's talented sideline reporter, Kyndra De St Aubin, I developed many social and in game features including this one titled, "Coffee with Kyndra" where fans got to see players in a more personal light after morning sessions. One of such interviews was this piece highlighting and recapping the moment that Collin Martin came out as the only openly gay athlete in any of the United State's Major Sports.
